Journalists' bodies recovered in Georgia

The bodies of Polaris contributor Alexander Klimchuk and Giga Chikhladze, a reporter working
for Russian Newsweek, were returned to their families in Tbilisi on August 17, thanks to the efforts
of Associated Press photographers Musa Sadulayev and Sergei Grits who escorted them from a morgue
in Tskhinvali, the South Ossetian capital, to Gori in Georgia.

Our thanks go to Santiago Lyon of the AP and his staff for their participation in this effort and
of course to the two photographers in the field who braved many dangers to see that their comrades
get a decent burial after more than a week since their death.

For those wishing to help the families of these two young journalists, please visit the website of
Caucasus-Images, where a donation account has been established in their memory.
