Hurricane Katrina destruction in Plaquemin Parish Louisiana

Scenes from the Lower Plaquemins Parish south of New Orleans Louisiana. The eye of Hurricane Katrina came directly over this area pushing a wall of water 20 feet high destroying almost everything. The Shrimping and fishing industry here was almost completely wiped out. This Horse drowned in the Hurricane, hung up in a tree, 6 months later it's still here rotting and stinking up the neighborhood. One man complained that no one will come a and take it away.

Landmines In Cambodia

A amputee on the road near Batambong, one of the most heavily mined parts of Cambodia. Approximately 40,000 people in Cambodia have suffered amputations as a result of mine injuries and an estimated 4 to 6 million mines are still strewn throughout the country. These mines are usually US material from the Vietnam war era, and Chinese, Soviet and eastern block made materials left from the Khmer Rouge era in the 1970s and a decade of civil war that followed in the 1980s.
