Senator Edward Ted Kennedy dies at 77

After a yearlong struggle with brain cancer, Edward M. Kennedy died on August 25 in his Cape Cod home. A liberal Democrat, Kennedy served nearly 50 years in the Senate working on civil rights, education, immigration and health care legislation. In 1980, he had an unsuccessful presidential run. He was the last survivor of the Kennedy brothers, President John F. Kennedy and Senator Robert F. Kennedy, both victims of assassination and buried at Arlington National Cemetery where he to buried. Held in esteem by Democrats, Republicans, foreign leaders and the public, Kennedy spent his life serving the American public striving to create a more just, fair and better America.

Rick Friedman

Rick Friedman has been a photojournalist for over three decades. Based in Boston, he travels around the world for numerous publications and corporate clients. His published work has appeared in Time, Newsweek, U.S. News, The New York Times, USA Today, Nature, Paris Match, The Guardian, Der Spiegel, Stern, Discover and many other publications. He has produced over 75 book and magazine covers. Rick’s photographs have been used to illustrate the books Hillary Clinton, Infra Structures, and The Gourmet Prescription. Rick’s photographs have also appeared in 100s of other books.

Rick Friedman is currently the President of the Boston Press Photographers Association. Rick has won awards from the American Society of Media Photographers, the National Press Photographers Association, and the Boston Press Photographers Association. His work has been displayed in numerous exhibits including in the permanent exhibit at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. Rick teaches location lighting at FotoFusion and other photographic workshops around the country.

Rick has photographed thousands of professors and scientists and has one of the largest private photographic archives of academics. He also has photographed every presidential candidate from Jimmy Carter to Barack Obama.
