Funerals can be fun

Raphaël Confino in front of his store. "L'Autre Rive" is a store that deals with death. Horrible! Not at all! Death is part of life. With that simple idea in mind, you have to adapt funerals to the modern lifestyle. Raphaël Confino started his undertaker career three years ago. First step: the place. Strategic, of course. He established "L'Autre Rive" near one of the biggest hospitals in Paris. Now you enter in the antichamber of paradise; the place can be compared with a well-equipped giftshop. You discover all types of coffins (the most impressive one is the cardboard box for less than 300 Euros), and all types of urns (from a ship to a sand-glass). Every proposed furniture is designed by an artist. At the first floor, in a room called "atelier", you and your relatives can decorate at your convenience the last home (the coffin you chose) of the loved person. More than one hundred people decided too launch their ashes to heaven in a space urn. More simply you can use the french Citroën 2CV car fitted like a hearse to be driven to the cemetery. All this seems to be a joke. Wrong! Raphaël Confino and his employees are overbooked.
